Admissions & enrollment
From a family's first application to next year's re-enrollment — one pipeline, no retyping, and an undo-able year rollover.
In short
Pearspark covers the full enrollment lifecycle: a public online application with custom fields, a pipeline with interviews and decisions, one-click conversion to enrolled student (application answers preserved), continuous re-enrollment with an attrition dashboard, and a year-end rollover wizard with preview and undo.
A real application form on your website, today
Enable the public application page, add your own custom questions, and share the link. Families apply online; applications land in a pipeline with stages, interview scheduling, and decision tracking — no PDF forms, no email attachments.
Applicant to student in one click
Enrolling an applicant creates the student record, preserves their application answers on the profile ("From the application"), and sends the family a welcome email with their portal sign-up link. Nothing gets retyped and nothing gets lost.
Re-enrollment without the spreadsheet
Open re-enrollment for the coming year and every family confirms — returning or not, with a reason — right in the portal, signature included. The attrition dashboard shows who's confirmed, who's leaving and why, and who hasn't answered, with one-click reminders to the stragglers.
The year rollover that doesn't eat your data
August's scariest button is safe here: the rollover wizard previews every promotion, graduation, and retention before anything happens, copies your term structure and classes (with schedules, co-teachers, and curriculum units) into the new year, and journals the whole thing — one click undoes it completely, and undo refuses to run once real grades exist in the new year.

Common questions
Can families apply without creating an account first?
Yes — the application page is public. Accounts come later: when you enroll an applicant, the family gets a portal invitation automatically.
What if the year rollover goes wrong?
It previews everything first and journals what it does, so one click restores the school exactly as it was. The undo deliberately refuses to run once grades or attendance exist in the new year — it protects data in both directions.
How does re-enrollment work for the following year?
You open a window for the coming year (with an optional deadline). Each family sees a banner in the portal and confirms returning or not-returning with a typed signature; declines ask for a reason. Your dashboard tracks confirmed, leaving, and no-answer — and the rollover marks non-returning students automatically.
Comparing this with what you use now
Admissions & enrollment is part of the argument in these comparisons. Each one is sourced, last reviewed July 2026, and says plainly where the other system is the better choice.
