Parent & student portal
Families see the whole record in real time — grades, attendance, report cards — not a Friday snapshot.
A 90on Friday's test brings the average to 85%— no more “what do I need on the final?”
In short
Every Pearspark family gets a portal with a complete, live view of their student: classes, assignments and grades with What-If projections, attendance calendars, report cards, mastery progress, re-enrollment and health confirmations, teacher-shared weekly topics, and school messaging — included for unlimited family accounts.
The full record, not a digest
Parents see every class, every assignment and score, attendance on a school-year calendar, posted report cards, and standards mastery — the same truth staff see, scoped to their own children. Students get their own login with their own view.
The portal does school-business too
Re-enrollment confirmations with signatures, annual health-information reviews, behavior notes the school chooses to share, and messaging with staff all happen in the portal — fewer paper forms chasing families home in backpacks.
Teachers control the window
Classroom features share on the teacher's terms: each class shares nothing, weekly topics, or full published plans — and nothing internal (drafts, staff-only notes, differentiation groups) ever reaches the portal.
This Week at Home — the hybrid family's home page
For hybrid and university-model schools, every child's published plans merge into one day-by-day family checklist: what to do, how long it takes, what to have ready, and which items the teacher grades. Parents check work off as the home day happens, flag a struggle for the teacher, print the week as a fridge sheet, and get a Sunday digest email — no more collating five teachers' emails.

Common questions
Do parent accounts cost extra?
No. Unlimited parent and student accounts are included — pricing is by enrolled student, never by user.
How do families get access?
Put a guardian's email on the student record and they can sign themselves up — matching is automatic. When you enroll an applicant, the welcome email includes the sign-up link.
Can a parent see another family's information?
No. Access is scoped to their own linked children, and every record view in the system is audit-logged.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — the portal installs to a parent's home screen like a native app, with push notifications and an unread badge. See the Parent mobile app page for how it works.
Comparing this with what you use now
Parent & student portal is part of the argument in these comparisons. Each one is sourced, last reviewed July 2026, and says plainly where the other system is the better choice.
